The Promenade was held in Shelby, Ne. at the A&B Café.  We all enjoyed good grits, Steak covered in white gravy for the most part. 

 

At 8:25 PM, the Promenade was called to order by Chef Dowling.

 

Roll Call of Officers:  All present or accounted for.

 

Minutes for the past month:  Notion made, seconded and passed to suspend the reading of the minutes for Jan.

 

Finance report: A report has been put on file with the Correspondant, if you would care to view it please get with the Correspondant after the Promenade. 

 

Reports of Officers and Committees:  None.

 

Sickness and Distress:  A moment of silence for Larry Adams (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm) whom, we have been informed has come upon foreboding seas.  

 

Correspondences:  None.

 

New Members:  None.

 

The next promenade will be at the Seven Mile Steak House at the intersections of US Hwy 81 and NE Hwy 64.        (about 7 miles south of Columbus and 7 miles east of Bellwood) Tuesday Mar. 17th 2009 @ 6:00PM.  Attitude Adjustment Hour, (aka Social Hour) 6 PM, Supper at 7 PM, and Promenade at 8 PM.  At least we try to start with these times.

 

Fines:  Arney, & Owen, $2.00, Mikie and Bucky $1.00.

 

Old Business:  Making money for nurses training was thoroughly discussed and after some serious thought, Chef Dowling set his hand to appoint Dave Bruckner and Alben Moore to look into a trip or resort package to be raffled off, as it was thought not everyone wanted a rifle.

 

New Business:  Monsieur Toure Conducteur is checking on the annual Offutt Air Show for the possibility of another bus trip this summer, Monsieur Toure Conducteur will report his findings at a later Promenade.

 

For the Good of the Voiture: Mike Landkamer invited all to attend his homecoming as National Vice Commander of the American Legion, being held at the New World Inn, during the Department of Nebraska Convention June.  Hard date to follow in later notes.  The homecoming will be done in the format of a ROAST so start thinking up your remarks now.
