CHECK DATE FOR NEXT PROMENADE

The Promenade was held at the Seven Mile Steak House at the intersections of US Hwy 81 and NE Hwy 64.  We all enjoyed good food, steaks for the most part.  They have a 16 oz. rib eye for $15.95 it was fantastic.

 

At 8:15 PM, the Promenade was called to order by Chef Dowling.

 

Roll Call of Officers:  All present or accounted for.

 

Minutes for the past month:  Notion made, seconded and passed to accept the minutes as read.

 

Finance report: Same as last month.  A report has been put on file with the Correspondant, if you would care to view it please get with the Correspondant after the Promenade. 

 

Reports of Officers and Committees:  None.

 

Virgil Strecker, Marion Charron, and Jim Rush brought us greetings from the Grande Voiture du Nebraska; the pass word for this year is V.E.T.S.  Information was presented for the Grande Promenade in Omaha, May 29, 30, and 31 2009, at Howard Johnson’s on 72nd and Grover.


Sickness and Distress:  Doug Zikmund still recovering from back surgery number two.

 

Correspondences:  None.

 

New Members:  Discussed making all Columbus Honor Guard members eligible for 40&8 (except SAL and Aux.).

 

The next promenade will be at the 1st and 10 in Bellwood, Ne. April 21, 2009.  Attitude Adjustment Hour, (aka Social Hour) 6 PM, Supper at 7 PM, and Promenade at 8 PM.  At least we try to start with these times.  I know we selected Brainard but the date just did not work out.   The 1st and 10 said they would have rib eyes for $12.95 or you can order off the menu.

 

Fines:  Dean $2.00, Arney $1.00.

 

Old Business:          1st Order.  After looking into trips for a raffle Dave and Albin came up with an ideas for a trip to Branson for about $700.00,  a trip to Las Vegas for $1052.00 for 3 days, a trip to Cancun for $1929.00 (6 days) includes airfare, or a trip to Maui, Hawaii (6 nights) for around $2000.00.  A discussion followed and it was decided to continue more discussion at the April Promenade.

                                2nd Order.  Monsieur Toure Conducteur gave out some preliminary information for the Offutt Air Show bus trip, it will be August 29th, and we should plan on selling or filling 45 to 50 seats on the bus.

 

New Business:  None

 

For the Good of the Voiture:  Discussed medi-care for veterans.
