County Government Days |
|
October 27th,
2008 was County Government Days in Columbus. I was so pleased that I had the
opportunity to go to the court house to watch the process of the high school
kids being sworn in and they were assigned to their jobs for the day. The
kids gain knowledge about the government’s workings, by mentoring from
officials at the county level. At 11:30 they all came to the Legion club to
have lunch, thanks Kevin for cooking the lunch and thank you to the ladies
who made brownies and cake and helped serve the lunch to the high school
kids. The US Army sponsored this luncheon and gave a small speech. Thanks
again Patty for the invitation I enjoy learning more about what the Legion
Family means and the work that we do. I look forward to doing so much more
with the Legion Family.
