Sons State Detachment Commanders
Home Comming
Our Own David (Bronson) Kamenske had His Home Comming Friday
10/15/2010. Mike Landkamer was head of ceremonies Jim Sidel area b Vice
Commander represented the Department, Patty Landkamer represented both the
Auxiliary and Unit 84, Dave Bruckner District 7 Commander represented the
District, Son's member Larry Adams was Chaplin , Post Commander Marcel Giroux
represented the post, Dave Kamenske and Zona Ragan completed the head table.
A big thank you to Post 84 for Hosting the the Homecoming
dinner for Dave, and Zona for the decorations, and all who attended.
There was good food and great company and lots of laughs. who
spoke had great things to say and some donations to Dave's charity The Ronald
Mc Donald house. (Thank You) we raised $350.
Dave was given a very nice plaque from Post 84 it says
Excellence with honor, Service with Dignity, Devotion to Duty. ( how true) I did not get up and speak at his dinner I was in awe at what
what they were saying about him, if they only knew what was said meant to
him.
When I first meet Dave this passion was just
starting for the Son's and I could see the passion in his eyes and the way
he spoke about the Son's and as time went on his passion grew and still
continues to grow along with his ideas. This passion of his comes from his
heart and honoring his father and all our fallen hero's and our hero's still
serving this great country. When his mother fell ill he was he knew he
needed to be here for her but yet he made it work his commitments to the
son's and the web page. I was honored to help with his mother so he could
continue his work. Sadly his mother has passed but his passion oddly enough
has only really just started. His belief that we are a family of one is so
true we are not just the Auxiliary or just the Legion or just the Son's, or
the Riders we are FAMILY and should work as one! His statement of the
vast knowledge that we all have as one is true he draws from everyone and
uses what he learns from everyone. As he continues to travel and speak and
visit other post Son's units he gathers the KNOWLEDGE and shares it. I am
proud to be the woman behind the man.
